Another Busy Day!

By Pamela Nestor

We started off another sunny day with French toast followed by morning flagpole!  Flagpole was filled with entertainment as we all did “Danny’s Daily Dance Move.”  After that we went to activities. Today was Sabra Free Day!  Sabra campers got to choose their own activities for all 3 periods this morning.  Campers enjoyed tubing, ropes course activities, dance, ceramics, sports, and more. Other campers played soccer, basketball, whiffle ball, and worked out in the gym! Some of our Halutzim and Teen campers went out golfing today!

Meanwhile, Kineret campers were in the pool perfecting their backstrokes at Instructional swim. Halutzim girls geared up for hockey and practiced passing the puck under the pavilion. The Halutzim boys gathered in the kitchen and cooked macaroni and cheese, and later Kineret girls baked snickerdoodles! Delicious!

For lunch we had grilled cheese, tomato soup, and the salad bar. After lunch was play practice! The actors met up with Martin in the playhouse to run through the Seussical with props. They’re all doing a great job, and we can’t wait to watch it next week!

For dinner we had baked ziti, manicotti, plain noodles, breadsticks, broccoli, and the salad bar! After two more activities, sports leagues convened at the ball fields to prepare for playoffs next week!

The Teens are going skating at Swaney’s tomorrow night after the Halutzim campers return from their overnight trip. We’re also getting ready to celebrate July 4th, just two days away! 1 more week and our SITs will be back from Israel! We’ll be ready to hear all about their trip!
