Campers have arrived!!! We all cheered outside the office as the buses pulled in. Energy was high while counselors led our new arrivals to the flagpole; camp friends were reunited and campers shared in their excitement to finally be here! They bustled to their cabins afterwards, eager to find out where they will be living for the next few weeks.

The lunchroom was packed for the first time this summer! Lunch was a classic camp favorite: chicken nuggets, tater tots, and salad bar. Campers chowed down and danced to the music. When we were done eating, it was time for activities! Campers rotated through horseback riding, arts and crafts, archery, soccer, basketball, and more!

Dinner was another favorite: spaghetti and meatballs! We also celebrated three birthdays today: Will Weisberg, Millie Morgan, and Noah Segall! We sang Happy Birthday and they skipped around the dining hall.

When asked about her favorite part of the first day of camp, Jessie, a unit head for Teens, said, “Seeing all the camper-staff reunions holds a special place in my heart.” When asked the same question, Kineret boys enthusiastically answered, “Everything!!” “Seeing my friends,” and “Getting to know everyone in my cabin.”

The summer is off to an incredible start already! We can’t wait to see what the next few weeks hold in store. NO MORE SLEEPS!!!
